The product
What is encryptmyai?
A drafting tool for professionals who use AI daily. You paste (or prompt directly for) an AI output, and encryptmyai redrafts it in your voice using your own private, encrypted knowledge base. Built for lawyers, accountants, doctors, engineers, designers, consultants — anyone whose work needs to sound like them, not generic AI output.
What are KB buckets?
Three categories you can tag your encrypted files into: expertaiwriter (text work — emails, briefs, reports), expertaicreator (creative work — concepts, designs, visuals), and expertaiengineer (technical work — specs, plans, code). At draft time, pick which bucket(s) to pull from. Many professionals wear multiple hats — tag your files once, then draft with any combination. Free gets one bucket (writer); Pro gets all three; Pro Plus lets you create unlimited custom-named buckets.
Who's it for?
Knowledge-based professionals: lawyers, accountants, doctors, engineers, consultants, anyone whose output carries professional responsibility. If a generic AI reply would be dangerous, embarrassing, or just not you — this is for you.
What files can I put in my knowledge base?
PDFs, Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx), images (PNG / JPG), plain text, and drawings. Encryption is content-agnostic — we encrypt the raw bytes, so any file type goes in. For non-text formats, we extract the text (or feed images to Claude's vision model) when drafting a reply.
Which AI is doing the drafting?
Anthropic's Claude. Specifically Claude Sonnet 4.6 (configurable). We chose Anthropic because their commercial API has the strongest no-training, limited-retention data policy in the market — critical for professional-grade privacy. The drafting assistant inside the product is called expertaiwriter; it's the Claude model wrapped with your knowledge base and the drafting prompt that packages your paste into a brief.
What is Voice-match?
Voice-match analyses patterns in your knowledge base — sentence length, vocabulary, tone, formality, hedging — and extracts a “voice fingerprint” that gets injected into the drafting prompt alongside the facts from your KB. Standard RAG gives Claude your facts; Voice-match gives it your style. The result: drafts that read like something you’d actually send, not a sanitised AI paraphrase. Included in Pro and Pro Plus.
Privacy & security
How is my data encrypted?
AES-GCM with a 256-bit key, derived from your passphrase using PBKDF2 (600,000 iterations, SHA-256). All of it happens inside your browser via the Web Crypto API — the same cryptographic layer that powers HTTPS and your password manager. Your passphrase and the derived key never leave your browser. We store only encrypted files; we cannot read them. Full technical walkthrough.
Where are my files actually stored — on my device or in your cloud?
In our cloud — but encrypted, so we can’t read them. “Encrypted in your browser” is about where the encryption happens (client-side, before anything leaves), not about where the file lives afterwards.
What lives in our cloud: the encrypted file bytes, in Supabase Storage (S3-compatible). Plus a row in the database with file ID, encrypted filename, size, timestamp — no plaintext content.

Why cloud? So you can sign in from any device and pick up where you left off, not lose your KB if your laptop dies, and (soon) share KBs across teams via expertaiteam and expertaishare.

sessionStorage for the active tab, wiped when you close it); the derived key (in browser memory only, re-derived from the passphrase each session); briefly in RAM, the decrypted bytes during a single draft request — never written to disk. Why cloud? What if I forget my passphrase?
Your knowledge base becomes unrecoverable. We cannot reset it — we don't hold the key, we have no backdoor. This is not a limitation we can engineer around without weakening the encryption guarantee. We strongly recommend storing your passphrase in a password manager (1Password, Bitwarden, or similar). This is the single hard rule you need to remember.
Can you read my knowledge base?
No. We can see that a file exists, how large it is, and when you uploaded it. We cannot see the filename, the contents, or the structure. If served a legal subpoena for your data, the only thing we could hand over is a sealed, unreadable encrypted file.
But Anthropic sees my data when I draft a reply, right?
Yes — briefly. When you draft a reply, your browser decrypts the relevant knowledge-base chunks locally and sends them to Anthropic's API along with your paste. Anthropic generates the reply and returns it. Anthropic's commercial API policy is contractual and public: they do not train on API data, and they delete API content after a 30-day trust-and-safety retention window. No AI tool can escape this category of exposure — but the window is the smallest and most constrained of any practical architecture. More on this trade-off.
Is my account the same as ailetterbox's?
Yes. One magic-link email signs you in to both encryptmyai and ailetterbox. Each product has its own data — signing up here doesn't automatically give you an ailetterbox expert profile, but it means you can jump to ailetterbox with one click when you're ready. Both are products of WeLinkAnything Ltd.
Plans & billing
What's the difference between Free, Pro, and Pro Plus?
Free (£0): 1 KB bucket (writer), 50 MB knowledge base, 10 drafts/month, 2,000 character paste, TXT/Markdown export.
Pro (£29.85/month): all 3 KB buckets (writer + creator + engineer), 5 GB KB, unlimited drafts, 20,000 character paste, email archive import, Word + PDF export, voice-match training, priority processing. 14-day free trial.
Pro Plus (£59.85/month): everything in Pro, plus unlimited custom-named buckets, 25 GB KB, email attachment extraction, priority queue, faster email support. See the full comparison.

Pro Plus (£59.85/month): everything in Pro, plus unlimited custom-named buckets, 25 GB KB, email attachment extraction, priority queue, faster email support. See the full comparison.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Go to Account → Manage subscription, and you'll be sent to the Stripe-hosted portal where you can cancel in one click. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep Pro until then.
Why £19.85 and not £19.99?
Because we hate pricing theatre. £19.85 is what the numbers actually said after we worked them out — it's not a psychological-trick price. We'll change it when the numbers change, not when a marketing playbook says to.
What happens to my files if I cancel?
Nothing happens to them immediately — they stay in your encrypted knowledge base. You drop back to the Free plan limits (50 MB total), so if you're over that you'll need to delete some files before you can upload more. We never delete your files without you asking.
Can I delete my account?
Yes — email us (see the Contact link in the footer) and we'll wipe your account and all encrypted files. Because the same account works on ailetterbox, deleting here deletes there too. Note that your passphrase and derived key are already gone the moment you sign out; the encrypted files sitting in storage are useless to anyone without them.
